Brief Description

We are currently seeking a Public Relations and Social Media Sr. Specialist to join the Dunkin' Brands Communications team!

 

The Public Relations Manager assists in developing the strategic and tactical execution of integrated public relations campaigns, including new product launches, trade and consumer media relations, store openings, strategic partnerships, sponsorships and promotions. Our ideal candidate is an accomplished public relations and communications professional who is a deadline-oriented strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the media and proven industry experience.

 

Detailed Description

Responsibilities will include:

 

    Assist with the development and execution of strategic public relations campaigns and social media initiatives for Dunkin? Donuts to build brand awareness and enhance brand reputation.

    Assist in handling media relations efforts including managing incoming media calls.

    Help develop key messages and executive briefings for interviews while ensuring consistency of company?s brand, tone and message; decides the appropriate spokesperson to place in front of the media.

    Prepare and edit media materials, including news releases, fact sheets, media briefings, etc.

    Partner with and manages regional PR agencies to ensure alignment and that initiatives meet objectives. Directs support of these teams in terms of messaging for regional outreach.

    Effectively manage complex projects and multiple deliverables under tight deadlines, while keeping resources and budgets on track.

    Manage crisis incidents or complex issues that may result from company related news, industry-related issues, and local store issues or incidents.  

 

Project Management

    Primary responsibility for the planning, execution and evaluation of the project.

    Select, direct and provide coaching and feedback to the project team.

    Monitor and report project status to the team, sponsors and leadership.

    Utilize project management tools and disciplines to execute project processes, including: risk management, issues resolution, change management, quality assurance, and document management.

    Ensure project deliverables are completed, with quality, in a timely manner.

    Lead project evaluation and close.

 

 

Job Requirements

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    Experienced professional with 5-10 years of public relations experience within an agency or corporate environment and a proven track record in media relations, ideally supporting a large, global company.  Media/journalism or financial communications experience is a plus.

    A solid understanding of social media marketing communications and how brands utilize social media effectively.

    Crisis and issue management experience in a corporate, agency or association setting.

    Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills; polished executive presence and the ability to interface effectively with staff at all levels.

    Attention to detail, organization and the ability to work cross-functionally.

    Results-oriented, customer-focused and enthusiastic, with a serious commitment to excellence.

Experience managing day-to-day relationship with clients and agency.
